# Autodesk Assistant

Autodesk Assistant is included in Dynamo starting with Dynamo 4.2.0. For Revit users, Dynamo connects to Revit’s Autodesk Assistant starting with Revit 2027.3 and Dynamo 4.2.0.

1. Autodesk Assistant is provided as a View Extension and does not add nodes to the Dynamo library.
2. It is available in Dynamo 4.2.0 and later.
3. It works like other chat-based AI tools and can directly modify nodes on the canvas.

### Using the Autodesk Assistant

> 1. Once installed, an icon should appear above the canvas space towards the right-hand side. Clicking this icon will open the Autodesk Assistant window.

> 2. Once opened, a chatbar will appear on the right-hand side of the window which will allow you to interact and make requests of Autodesk Assistant for Dynamo.
